Promptings is a journaling app built specifically for LDS users. Every time you open the app youll receive a set of questions—or prompts—to help you ponder and reflect before writing in your journal. Promptings are selected from General Conference talks, devotionals, Ensign and Liahona articles, scriptures, and more. They are all designed to help you think positively about your life and to focus on whats most important when recording your day-to-day.

Backed by beautiful, hand-curated photography, Promptings will get you thinking and help you feel motivated to journal more regularly. Have something specific on your mind, or dont need a Prompting? Scroll on down to "Just write..." and write in your journal as you normally would.

Hit the share button on any Prompting and youll be able to share an image of that question to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, or any other app that supports photo sharing. You will also be sharing a link to the talk or scripture the Prompting came from.

Within the app you can:
• Share a Prompting with your friends and family through social media or messaging
• View the talk, article or scripture the Prompting came from on LDS.org
• Tag journal entries with topics, your location, other locations you visited (including LDS temples), your Twitter friends, or manually enter a friends name
• View your entries by date, star them for later reference, or filter them by tags, people, places, or temples

Note: This app requires an internet connection the first time it is launched. It can work without one every time thereafter but new promptings will not be pulled to your device as they are published unless the app is used while connected to the internet.

Some issues on iPhone 6
A few layout bugs on iPhone 6, but I love the concept.
Great app that makes journaling simple
I have throughly enjoyed this app. The simple "promptings" are a unique way for me to overcome that what will I write about hurdle. I travel a lot for work and while on the road this is a great way for me to record lessons I have learned and things Ive experienced. The links to scriptures have been a great way to help me see parallels between the scriptures and my life. Its super easy to use and I highly recommend this app.
Doesnt work
Wont load past the loading printings screen.
Dont bother downloading
Does not work. Ive deleted and reinstalled. The hangs upon opening. The app displays "Getting Promptings" and the the opening spinning wheel spins and spins and spins. I was anxious to use this app but sad that it is defective. I want a refund!
Used to Be a Favorite
Not sure when it broke down ... the last pic I have saved on my camera roll is from 4/19. Before it stopped loading and stalled out I really enjoyed it and would have given it five stars. Didnt open it every day but it was always a beautiful pic with a quote/question/prompt that really made me stop and think and remember whats important to me. I hope it gets fixed!
